The Eagle and Dove Academy offers children an after-school program that fits their reading needs. The reading intervention program began in 1996, and to date we have had about 5,000 students participate. Our staff works hard to bring each child up to grade level in reading, making it possible for each student to succeed in school. Our students improve in homework, testing, and self-esteem.

Founder/Director Dave Speas says:

Our goal is to make a strong effort to cover those academic areas, particularly reading, that they have not mastered, so the students can catch up as soon as possible.

This is a 4-day-a-week program, Monday through Thursday. Students must maintain good attendance to make maximum progress and remain in the program.

Where:

School of Innovation (SOI), 601 Selma Rd., Springfield, OH 45505

When:

On Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday: Beginning after the child’s school day and until 5:45 p.m. (There are no sessions on Fridays.)

Transportation:

Students are bused to and from Eagle and Dove after their school day, and parents pick them up at their home school at 6:05 p.m.

Students may be picked up at SOI, where the Academy is located, at 5:45 p.m., but only by registered family members or friends.
